My name is Carl Engman, my wife's name is Maj-Britt, she is from Uddevalla and we have a Vindo 40. Our home port is North Point, Winthrop Harbor, Illinois,USA. We have been back to Sweden many times and have been to Notesund ,Orust, and have met Carl Anderson when he was alive. We bought our boat on the east coast of  USA and had it trucked to the Great Lakes (Lake Michigan) in 1975 we sailed her until 1986 and sold her , Then in 2004 we found her in Racine Wisconsin and bought her back and are in the process of restoring her. Funny once you have owned a Vindo it is hard to find anything that meets her quality-even with all the upkeep. The boat has special meaning to us as it represents a bit of Sweden to both my wife and myself (my parents were both from Sweden but I was born in Chicago, Illinois). We have two sons which grew up on "Odin" and they now have families of their own and our thought is to pass on the boat to the boys and their families when we can no longer care for her.
